It is not a coincidence that Chickie Life is launched on the summer solstice. The transition from one season to another seems like a fitting time to unveil a new adventure.
I love the seasons; each brings distinct gifts. But as much as I enjoy the escapades of summer, by August I am looking forward to the coziness, and colors of autumn; invariably, the end of winter is filled with a heartfelt longing for Spring. Maybe it is change that I truly love. Despite the transitions, there is still a continuity connecting the seasons, there is a time of renewal and there is anticipation.
Is it not the same in each of us? Some changes we face are natural progressions while others are imposed without consultation or consent. Even so, why not embrace the seasonal changes in our lives? And why not create our own dang seasons while we are at it? I am not bold enough to be like Sue Heck, from the ABC network sitcom The Middle, and declare this the “The Year of Kelly” but I am choosing to face my vulnerabilities and abilities to claim my season to change, to explore and to take chances.
What is your new season? Mine is a Chickie Life Revolution and I invite you come along for the ride.
You have been an inspiration in my life and this blog makes me so excited. How did you set this up? I have thought about starting a blog, but I’m not sure…
